Lakes Line CRP– The Community Rail Partnership, one of three in Cumbria, bringing together the train operator, local businesses and communities.

ACoRP – The Association of Community Rail Partnerships.

Northern Rail – The operator of the trains between Oxenholme and Windermere.

TransPennine Express – Which runs the Manchester – Scotland services, calling at Oxenholme.

Avanti – The company which operates West Coast Main Line trains between London and Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Network Rail– The company which owns the track.

National Rail – The rail information website and phone enquiry line. 

Westmorland and Furness Council – The Line’s District Council, a supporter of the group.

Cumbria County Council – The Line’s County Council, which hosts the CRP.

Cumbrian Railways Association – The Association for the study of Railways In Cumbria.

Cumbria Tourism – On its website named ‘Go Lakes’ you’ll find details of Hotels, Attractions and Events in the Lake District.

Friends of the Lake District– Promoting the conservation of the Lake District.

Kendal Town Council – Kendal is the largest town on the line.  It includes both Oxenholme and Kendal stations.

Burneside Parish Council  – The Lakes Line parish with the smallest population, but a strong supporter.

Staveley with Ings Parish Council – Another of our supporters, this parish includes much of the northern end of the Line.

Windermere and Bowness Town Council  – Windermere town only exists because of the railway.  Its Council has been a supporter from the earliest days.  Bowness is the historic lakeside village which is the hub of Winderme Lake Cruises’ operations.

Railfuture  – The national voluntary group representing rail users, which brings together User Groups from the whole country.
